# Approve one, then reference it: the reference lock method (free sample)

A free sample from Consistent Asset Sets by PaperChaseWebb. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any image or 3D tool that takes a reference.

One good AI image is easy. Forty that belong together is not. Stop describing every item from scratch.

## The method

1. Pick one typical item, not the most exciting one.
2. Iterate on it until composition, palette, line and light are right.
3. Lock it as reference/REF-001 and save the prompt, seed and settings.
4. Attach the reference to every later request.
5. Ask only for what changes.

## Put variation in data, not in prompts

Names, years, colors and rarity go in a CSV with one row per item. Badges and text get added by a template, never by the image model.

## The delta request

"Match the attached reference exactly in style, framing and light. Change only: [delta from the data row]. No text in the image."

## Review the batch together

Tile every item from a batch into one image with the reference in the top-left corner. Drift that is invisible one at a time jumps out on a sheet. Redo the odd ones out before the next batch.

## In the full pack

A STYLE.md template, a PROMPTS.json library, assets as code with Blender Python and the annotate loop, a ten-point review sheet check, 3D as a camera guide for video, cost and rights ledgers, client brand sets, a rules block, a reviewer skill and 12 prompts.
