# Make your agent play the game before it says done

PaperChase agent use case (free feed entry), version 1.0. Source: [@theSethian](https://x.com/theSethian/status/2110440063821545479), 2026-10-14.

## What they did

On 2026-10-14 @theSethian gave both agents the same prompt: a neon track, an AI opponent, a lap timer, three laps, then drive a full race to prove it works. Claude Code finished in 1 minute 43 seconds using a scripted driver that moved the car through code. Grok Bot took about 16 minutes, played with the game's own controls, found the steering was reversed on its first test, fixed it, and completed all three laps.

## Worth knowing

Speed and real testing are different things: a scripted test can pass while the controls a player uses are broken. Both testers lost to the AI car they wrote. The takeaway line from the post is worth putting in any game prompt.

## Workflow template

```text
Build [game] with [features]. When it runs, play it yourself using the same inputs a player would use (keyboard or touch), not by setting positions in code. Complete [one full round]. Report any control, camera or collision bugs you hit, fix them, and replay before you say done.
```

## Steps

1. **Read what they did.** Skim the source post linked below, then the summary on this page.
2. **Fill in the template.** Copy the prompt and replace every [bracketed] value with your own project details.
3. **Run it once and check.** Run it on a small task first and confirm the result yourself before you trust it on real work.
