## What you end up with

You rewrite less of every draft, and nothing goes out in a voice that is not yours.

## What you get

- 10 prompts and a STYLE.md template in one .md file
- Sample selection rules, including what to leave out and how to strip private details
- Register finder for the two or three ways you write
- A drafting rule to paste into every agent
- Prompts to score drafts, learn from your edits and refresh monthly

## Who it is for

Founders, consultants and creators who let an assistant draft email, messages or posts and are tired of rewriting the generic voice out of every one.

## Tools needed

- ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any chat model: builds the guide and drafts with it
- You need: 20 to 40 messages or posts you wrote yourself

Cost to run: Free. Uses the chat model you already pay for.

## Sample prompt: The drafting rule (Any agent that drafts for you)

```
Before any draft, read STYLE.md, then read the full thread or post you are answering.
Match the register of that thread, not a generic version of my voice.
Use only facts from the thread, my files or what I told you. Mark anything missing as [CHECK: what you need].
Draft only. I read and send everything myself.
```

Matching the thread, not a general voice, made the biggest difference in our own drafts.

## Sample prompt: Find your registers (Any chat model)

```
Using the same samples, group my writing into 2 or 3 registers.
For each: when I use it, sentence length, structure, one real example, and one thing that would break it.
```

Agent drafts sound off most often when they blend registers.

# Build a writing style guide your agents can follow

PaperChase prompt pack, version 1.0. 10 prompts and a guide template for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any agent that drafts email, messages or posts for you. Time: about an hour to build the first guide, 15 minutes a month to keep it current.

## The problem

Agents that draft for you tend to write in one smooth, generic voice. You end up rewriting every draft, or worse, sending something that sounds like a template with your name on it. "Write like me" in a prompt does not fix it, because the model has no record of how you actually write.

## What you end up with

A one-page `STYLE.md` built from messages you really wrote: what to copy, what to avoid, the two or three registers you switch between, and one drafting rule every agent follows. It sits next to your other agent rules and gets better every time you edit a draft.

We built two guides this way for our own agents in August 2026, one from sent email and one from 25 recent public posts. Both now steer drafts that a person reads before anything is sent.

## How to use this pack

1. Collect samples (block 1). This is the step that decides the quality of the guide.
2. Run prompts 2 to 4 to build `STYLE.md`.
3. Paste the drafting rule (prompt 5) into every agent that writes for you.
4. Use prompts 6 to 9 while drafting and after you edit.
5. Refresh monthly with prompt 10.
6. Replace everything in [square brackets].

## Contents

1. Pick the right samples
2. Extract the guide
3. Find your registers
4. Write the "do not use" section
5. The drafting rule for every agent
6. Draft a reply with the guide
7. Score a draft against the guide
8. Learn from your edits
9. A short public post in one register
10. Monthly refresh
Template: STYLE.md

## Worth knowing

- A guide from a small or mixed sample will be wrong in places. Check the first ten drafts.
- Remove other people's private details from samples before pasting them into any model.

## Questions

**Will it send messages for me?** No. Every prompt keeps drafts as drafts. You send.

**Can I build one from public posts instead of email?** Yes. Use 25 to 50 original posts, not reposts. We built one of our own guides that way.
