What you end up with
Ten minutes each morning tells you what your niche is saving and sharing, and which ideas keep coming back.
What you get
- One .md pack in eight parts
- Niche line, signal account and search query setup
- The skip list we settled on after weeks of runs
- board.py: scoring, 14-day window, duplicates, skip list and day-over-day comparison
- Four prompts: setup, daily run, angle lines and weekly review
- Cost, rate-limit and sharing rules
Who it is for
Creators, founders and small teams who want to know what their niche is actually studying, without scrolling for an hour a day.
Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: Plain Markdown, so it also pastes into other agents such as Grok Bot, Hermes, OpenClaw or Muse. We list those as compatible by format only, not as tested.
Tools needed
Cost to run: X API usage is paid and priced by X. The routine checks usage before each run and stops at a floor you set.
Time to result: First board on day one, useful trends after a week
How it works
Define the niche
Write one line with three to six topics and what is out.
Expected: A line a stranger could use to sort posts.
Pick sources
10 to 25 signal accounts and 2 or 3 search queries.
Expected: An accounts file and a queries file.
Run and score
The agent collects IDs and metrics read-only; board.py ranks and compares.
Expected: A top 12 board with NEW, held and moved markers.
Annotate and archive
One angle line per post in your own words; keep the .md and .json.
Expected: A board you can compare tomorrow.
Sample prompt from the pack
Run today's signal board. 1. Check remaining API credits or usage first. If it is below [floor], stop and tell me. 2. Collect post IDs from [accounts file], [queries file] and yesterday's today.json, then fetch current public metrics. 3. Run: python3 board.py today.json board-[yesterday].json --skip skip.txt Read only. Do not follow, like, reply, repost, bookmark or post anything.
The read-only line and the budget floor are the two rules that matter most.

# Run a daily signal board for your niche on X with an agent PaperChase agent use case pack, version 1.0. For creators, founders and small teams who want to know what their niche is actually saving and sharing, without scrolling for an hour. Works with any agent that can call the official X API or an X connector, plus a small Python script. Time: one hour to set up, 10 to 20 minutes a day to run and read. ## The problem Your feed shows you what the ranker thinks will keep you scrolling. It does not show you which posts in your niche people bookmarked to come back to, which ones got quoted, or what changed since yesterday. So you either miss the posts your audience is studying, or you spend an hour a day looking for them. ## What you end up with One short board each morning: the top posts in your niche from the last 14 days, ranked by how often people saved and quoted them, with what moved since yesterday and one line from you on why each matters. A running archive lets you see which ideas last and which fade in a day. We ran this exact board for our own niche (practical AI agents) on 33 dates between 2026-08-25 and 2026-10-14. The method below is what survived those runs. ## How the score works **score = bookmarks + 2 x quotes + likes.** Impressions only break ties. - Bookmarks mean "I will come back to this". In a practical niche that is the strongest sign a post is useful. - Quotes mean someone put their own name next to it. They are rarer, so they count double. - Likes are cheap but still a signal. Impressions mostly measure reach, not value, so they only break ties. Change the weights if your niche behaves differently. Keep them fixed for at least two weeks so boards stay comparable. ## Contents 1. Define the niche in one line 2. Pick signal accounts and search queries 3. The skip list 4. Daily run: collect, score, compare 5. The scoring script (board.py) 6. Prompts for each step 7. Reading the board: the angle line 8. Costs, limits and the rules for sharing
Worth knowing
- Uses only the official X API or an official connector. No scraping.
- Post text belongs to its authors. Share boards as links, rank and your own commentary, and check X's developer terms first.
- The board measures attention, not accuracy.
Questions
Why bookmarks first?
In a practical niche, a bookmark means someone plans to come back to the post. It was the most useful single signal across our own runs.
Will the agent post or engage for me?
No. Every prompt in the pack is read only.
