What you end up with
You can see whether an AI-written title and description claims too much, stuffs the query or promises rankings before it goes into your CMS.
What you get
- Why titles and descriptions need checking
- Eight rules for agents that rewrite them
- seo_mini.py: ten read-only checks for one title and description
- A stuffed first try with seven findings and a clean version
Who it is for
Anyone who wants a quick check on agent-written page titles and meta descriptions before they go live.
Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: Plain Markdown, so it also pastes into other agents such as Grok Bot, Hermes, OpenClaw or Muse. We list those as compatible by format only, not as tested.
Tools needed
Cost to run: Free.
Time to result: About five minutes to a first scan
Sample prompts, free to use
Run python3 seo_mini.py on [snippet file] with --query "[search query]" --brand "[my brand]" --facts "[what the page states]". Fix every finding or hand it to me. Do not edit the site.

# Search Console Fix Desk: safe title rules and a ten-check page title and description scan (free sample) Version 1.0, 2026-11-01. By PaperChaseWebb. For anyone letting an AI agent rewrite page titles and meta descriptions. One page and one Python 3 script, standard library only, read-only: it reads one drafted title and description, prints findings and changes nothing. No API key, no login. Tested on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8: 4 unit tests, and 20 of 20 planted faults caught. The example business is made up. ## Why titles need checking A title and description are two lines, but agents get them wrong in the same few ways: - They claim what the page never says: "Best", "#1", "free", a price, a year. - They stuff the search query in three times, which Google's own guidance warns against, and Google may then show other text instead of your title. - They promise rankings or traffic. Nobody can promise that, and a report built on it misleads the owner. - They slip in a noindex, a redirect or a script change, which is a decision for the owner, not a snippet edit. An agent will write "BEST Grout Sealer Guide: Seal Grout, Grout Sealer, Grout Sealing | Brackwater | Brackwater" with "The #1 guide... you will rank higher on Google. Free!!" This script catches that before anyone pastes it into the CMS. ## Rules to paste into AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, a Grok Bot standing order or Hermes notes 1. - What was run
- tests/test_mini.py (4), 20 planted faults against seo_mini.py, and the copy extracted from the sample page. Linux, Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8.

- Not run
- The export check, planner, full checker, measure and eval set (the full kit does those).
Copied from this item's dated test notes. What was not run stays in.

- No ranking or traffic result is promised.

Questions
Does it change my files or site?
No. It reads the file you name and prints findings. It opens no network connection and changes nothing.
What is in the full kit?
An export check, a planner that uses your own click rates by position, a 19-check draft checker against your page facts, owner approval at a terminal, before and after measuring against untouched pages, a 27-page eval set, and setup for Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex and Hermes. $29.

Search Console Fix Desk: better page titles and descriptions from your Search Console data, checked, owner approved, measured
Let an agent find the pages Google shows but people skip, and draft better titles and meta descriptions without inventing claims or touching your site. A planner compares each page with your own click rates at the same positions and decides rewrite, owner, hold or skip. A checker refuses drafts with claims or numbers the page never states, keyword stuffing, ranking promises, competitor names, noindex or redirect ideas and script overlays. You approve at your terminal and make the edit, and measure compares before and after against pages you did not touch.
