What you end up with
You can see whether a subscription page says it renews, what it charges and how to cancel before an agent or a customer finds out the hard way.
What you get

- Ten rules for agents that write or tidy subscription pages
- renew_mini.py: ten read-only checks for one page
- A made-up coffee club checkout with six findings to try it on
Who it is for

Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: Plain Markdown, so it also pastes into other agents such as Grok Bot, Hermes, OpenClaw or Muse. We list those as compatible by format only, not as tested.
Tools needed
Cost to run: Free.
Time to result: About five minutes to a first scan
Sample prompts, free to use
Run python3 renew_mini.py on each page in [folder]. List every finding by page, and tell me which line to change. Do not change the live site.

# Subscription Renewal Desk: safe subscription page rules and a ten-check terms scan (free sample) Version 1.0, 2026-11-01. By PaperChaseWebb. For anyone who sells a plan that charges on repeat, or lets an AI agent tidy their checkout, terms or cancel page. One page and one Python 3 script, standard library only, read-only: it reads one page, prints findings and changes nothing. It sends nothing and opens no network connection. No API key, no login. Tested on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8: 5 unit tests, and 21 of 21 planted faults caught. The example business is made up. Not legal advice. ## Why subscription pages need checking California's automatic renewal law, tightened in July 2025, asks for clear renewal terms before the customer pays, consent to them, an online way to cancel for anyone who signed up online, and notices before a long trial ends, a yearly plan renews or a price changes. Federal law (ROSCA) has asked for clear terms, informed consent and a simple way to stop charges since 2010. Most small subscription pages slip in the same few ways: - The checkout says "$24. Start with a free trial." and never says it renews. - A price has no "per month" or "per year" next to it. - The trial never says what it costs after. - A box comes ticked for the customer. - Cancelling takes a phone call, a letter, a survey or 30 days' notice. - "Cancel anytime" sits next to a 3 month minimum. - "We may change our prices at any time without notice." ## Rules t
Test record
- Date
- Nov 1, 2026
- What was run
- tests/test_mini.py (5), 21 planted faults against renew_mini.py, and the copy extracted from the sample page. Linux, Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8.
- Result
- 5 passed, 0 failed on all five versions; 21 of 21 faults caught; the extracted copy was identical to the tested script and found 6 problems on the example checkout.
- Not run
- Your plans and facts, the full page checks, the notice plan, the reply review, the fix check and the eval set (the full kit does those).
Copied from this item's dated test notes. What was not run stays in.
Worth knowing
- The sample checks one page on its own. Your plans and facts, the subscriber notice plan, the reply review, the fix check against the original, the eval set, owner approval and agent setups are in the full kit.
- Not legal advice. It does not say a page meets any law.
- On 2026-11-01 renew_mini.py passed 5 unit tests and 21 of 21 planted faults on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8, and the copy extracted from the sample page was identical to the tested script.
Questions
Does it change my files or send anything?
No. It reads the file you name and prints findings. It opens no network connection, sends nothing and changes nothing.
What is in the full kit?
20 checks on the checkout, terms, cancel page and reminder against your own plans, 12 on your subscriber list for renewal, trial and price change notices, 12 on replies to cancel requests, a 12-check fix check against the original, owner approval at a terminal, an eval set, and setup for Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex and Hermes. $29.

Subscription Renewal Desk: agent fixes for your checkout, terms and cancel page, plans matched, cancel path kept, owner approved
Let an agent tidy your subscription checkout, terms, cancel page and renewal reminder, plan the renewal, trial and price change notices from your subscriber list, and review replies to cancel requests, without dropping the renewal line, hiding the cancel path or making up prices and offers. It writes fixed copies and never touches the live site or sends anything. A fix check refuses a removed cancel link, a deleted sentence, a new discount or a new phone number. You approve at your terminal and paste it in yourself.
