Price, pitch and follow up: Price Floor and Follow-Up Clock (free sample)
by PaperChaseWebb
From Price, pitch and follow up: check your floor, target and stretch prices against your real hourly rate and costs, see which proposal follow-up is due today, and run five checks on each draft before you send it. Your agent drafts; your yes is recorded at your own terminal and the gate stops any draft changed after it.

What you end up with
Prices that clear your own rate, every open proposal on a day 3, 8, 15 and 21 clock, and follow-ups with one easy question and no guilt lines.
What you get
- The pricing check: floor, target and stretch against hours x your lowest rate + costs, with the per-hour math
- The follow-up clock: DUE, WAIT or CLOSE for every open proposal, counted from the day it went out
- Five draft checks: placeholders, over 90 words, guilt lines, pressure lines and anything but one easy question
- Your yes at your own terminal, refused in agent sessions, and a gate that says NO-GO if the draft changed
- AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, a Grok Bot standing order, a Hermes skill and 22 tests
Who it is for
Solo founders and small studios who sell services by proposal and want help with follow-ups without an agent ever sending for them.
Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: One Python script, templates, a made-up bookkeeping studio and agent rules for each harness. Tested on Linux.
Tools needed
Cost to run: Free. Python is free.
Time to result: About five minutes
How it works
Run the example
Unpack the file and run python3 clock.py price example/prices.txt, then python3 clock.py pipeline example/pipeline.csv --today 2026-11-04.
Expected: The floor is flagged under 3,750; three leads DUE, one WAIT, one CLOSE.
Fill in your numbers
Copy templates/, put your name in settings.json, your prices in prices.txt and one row per open proposal in pipeline.csv.
Expected: CLOCK PASS on your prices.
Let the agent draft
Give it AGENTS.md. It drafts each DUE follow-up from your notes and checks it.
Expected: One passing draft per DUE lead, nothing sent.
Approve and send yourself
Run python3 clock.py approve settings.json drafts/LEAD.md, type send, then send it from your own mail.
Expected: gate says GO until the draft changes.
Sample prompts, free to use
Follow AGENTS.md. Run clock.py pipeline with today's date, draft each DUE follow-up to drafts/LEAD.md from notes/LEAD.txt only, and run clock.py draft on each until it passes. Show me the DUE, WAIT and CLOSE lines and the drafts, then stop. Never approve, send, schedule or queue anything.
The script and the agent files are in the file.

# Price Floor and Follow-Up Clock **Most solo founders do not lose deals on price. They lose them by quoting under their own floor and going quiet after the proposal. This free sample checks both: your prices against your real rate, and which follow-up is due today. Your agent drafts; you approve and send.** Version 1.0, 2026-11-04. By PaperChaseWebb Inc. Free sample of Price, pitch and follow up ($14). Works with Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex and Hermes, or by hand. Python 3.8 or newer, no installs. ## What you get out of it - A floor, target and stretch price that each clear your lowest acceptable hourly rate after costs, with the per-hour math printed. - A follow-up clock counted from the day the proposal went out: day 3, 8, 15 and 21, then you close the loop. Every lead is DUE, WAIT or CLOSE. - Five checks on every follow-up draft: placeholders left, over 90 words, guilt lines like "just checking in", pressure lines like "act now", and anything other than one easy question. - An owner yes, recorded at your own terminal, tied to the draft as it reads. Change one word and the gate says NO-GO. ## Who it is for Consultants, freelancers and small studios who sell services by proposal and want an agent to help without ever sending anything on their behalf. ## Set up (5 minutes) 1. Copy `extract_from_pack.py` from the appendix by hand, then run `python3 extract_from_pack.py price-floor-and-follow-up-clock-free-sample.md clock/` to unpack the rest. 2. In `clock/`, run the
Test record
- Date
- Nov 4, 2026
- What was run
- tests/test_clock.py (22 tests) unpacked from the sample file and run fresh on Linux, Python 3.8, 3.9, 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13; price, pipeline, draft, approve and gate on the made-up example.
- Result
- 22 passed, 0 failed on all five versions; the example floor is flagged under 3,750, the clock gives 3 DUE, 1 WAIT and 1 CLOSE, the clean draft passes and the bad one fails five ways; the yes is refused in agent sessions, without a terminal, for the wrong name, without the typed word and for a draft with findings; an edit after the yes makes the gate say NO-GO.
- Not run
- macOS or Windows. A live Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex or Hermes session.
Copied from this item's dated test notes. What was not run stays in.
Worth knowing
- The sample checks prices, the follow-up clock and five rules on each follow-up. Proposal, case study, price increase and decline checks, numbers not in your notes, and the 15 prompts are in the full pack.
- On 2026-11-04: 22 tests passed on Python 3.8, 3.9, 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13 on Linux, run from the files unpacked out of the sample. Agent rules guide; they were not loaded inside each harness for this release.
Questions
Does it send anything?
No. It reads files, prints results and records your yes. You send every message yourself.
Can my agent approve a draft?
No. The yes is refused inside an agent session, without a terminal and for anyone but the owner in settings.json.
What is in the full pack?
15 prompts from outcome pricing to a polite no, and a checker that adds proposal, case study, notice and decline checks. $14.

Price, pitch and follow up: prompts for solo founders selling services
15 prompts for pricing a service, writing a one-page offer and proposal, handling objections and following up on a schedule, plus a read-only checker that flags a price under your own minimum, numbers that are not in your notes and which follow-up is due for each lead.

Draft-Only Outbox: every agent its own address, nothing sent without a logged yes
A free kit for owners whose agents write email. Give each agent its own address and keep it on drafts by default. An agent you trust can send to the people you listed, under a daily cap, as long as the draft has no money or contract words. Everything else waits in a queue for your yes, the yes covers that exact text, and your sender calls a gate before every send. A log shows who said yes, when, and what went out.

Ask-first rules for AI agents: hard nos, approval cards and a test set
Paste-in rules that make an agent ask before it sends, spends, posts or deletes, define what a real yes is, and stop retries after a no, plus 12 test scenarios to check it.
