Retainer Scope Sheet: the seven-part monthly scope and a ten-check sheet scan (free sample)
by PaperChaseWebb
From Retainer Scope Sheet: the blank seven-part sheet, ten rules to paste into your agent, and a read-only script that runs ten checks on one scope sheet, from a missing section and vague lines like "as needed" to a desk with no monthly number, an overage with no rule, a response time with no time zone, too few exclusions, a send or booking with no yes row and a result promise.

Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: Plain Markdown, so it also pastes into other agents such as Grok Bot, Hermes, OpenClaw or Muse. We list those as compatible by format only, not as tested.
Tools needed
Cost to run: Free.
Time to result: About five minutes to a first scan
Sample prompts, free to use
Run python3 scope_mini.py on [SCOPE-SHEET.md]. List every finding and tell me which line needs a number, a unit or a place, and which numbers you need from me. Do not change my terms.

# Retainer Scope Sheet: the seven-part monthly scope and a ten-check sheet scan (free sample) Version 1.0, 2026-11-01. By PaperChaseWebb. For agencies and freelancers who sell a monthly agent retainer and want the scope written line by line. One page, a blank sheet and one Python 3 script, standard library only, read-only: it reads one sheet, prints findings and changes nothing. It sends nothing and opens no network connection. No API key, no login. Tested on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8: 4 unit tests, and 17 of 17 planted faults caught. The example agency and client are made up. ## Why a monthly needs a scope sheet Clients ask what the monthly covers before they sign, and again when an invoice looks different. A short sheet answers it: which desks run, how many runs and hours are included, what happens over the limit, how fast you answer and when, what is not included, what waits for the client's yes, what reports they get, and how a change is asked for. Scopes slip in the same few ways: - "Ongoing support", "as needed", "ASAP". - A desk with no monthly number. - Overage "billed", with no rate and no yes. - Texts or bookings go out and nothing says who says yes first. - Changes start on a phone call. - "Never miss a lead again" where the work should be. ## Rules to paste into AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, a Grok Bot standing order or Hermes notes 1. Never send a scope sheet, proposal or invoice to a client. Write it to a file and stop. The owner decides. 2.
Test record
- Date
- Nov 1, 2026
- What was run
- tests/test_mini.py (4), 17 planted faults against scope_mini.py, and the copy extracted from the sample page. Linux, Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8.
- Result
- 4 passed, 0 failed on all five versions; 17 of 17 faults caught; the extracted copy was identical to the tested script and found 12 problems on the example sheet and 0 on the clean one.
- Not run
- Change requests, invoices, proposals, the fix check and the eval set (the full kit does those).
Copied from this item's dated test notes. What was not run stays in.
Worth knowing
- The sample checks one sheet for ten things. Change request and invoice checks, the proposal and fix checks, the eval set, owner approval and agent setups are in the full kit.
- Not legal advice and not a contract.
- On 2026-11-01 scope_mini.py passed 4 unit tests and 17 of 17 planted faults on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8, and the copy extracted from the sample page was identical to the tested script.
Questions
Does it change my files?
No. It reads the sheet you name and prints findings. It opens no network connection and changes nothing.
What is in the full kit?
18 sheet checks, change requests and invoices checked against the sheet, a proposal check, a fix check for agent edits, owner approval at a terminal, an eval set, and setup for Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex and Hermes. $29.

Retainer Scope Sheet: itemize what an agent monthly covers
One sheet per client that says line by line what your monthly agent retainer covers: the desks it runs and how many runs each, included hours and what happens over the limit, response times with covered hours, what is not included, what needs the client's yes, the reports they get and how changes are asked for. A checker fails every vague line ("ongoing support", "as needed", "ASAP"), an overage with no rate, a desk that sends or books with no yes row, and checks your proposals, change requests and invoices against the sheet. You approve each sheet at your own terminal.

Compounding Offer Audit: five rules and a five-check script (free sample)
From the Compounding Offer Audit: five rules for scoring an offer on six tests (one owner, six scores and no total, a fact for every score, no 3 on say-so, one change on the weakest test), and a read-only script that checks one small file for them.

Invoice Chase Desk: safe reminder rules and a ten-check payment reminder scan (free sample)
From Invoice Chase Desk: the mistakes that make payment reminders expensive, eight rules to paste into your agent, and a read-only script that runs ten checks on one reminder, from the wrong balance and other invoice numbers to threats, pressure, surprise fees, new bank details and links off your payment domain.
