The problem
Agents that draft for you tend to write in one smooth, generic voice. You end up rewriting every draft, or worse, sending something that sounds like a template with your name on it. "Write like me" in a prompt does not fix it, because the model has no record of how you actually write.
What you end up with
A one-page STYLE.md built from messages you really wrote: what to copy, what to avoid, the two or three registers you switch between, and one drafting rule every agent follows. It sits next to your other agent rules and gets better every time you edit a draft.
We built two guides this way for our own agents in August 2026, one from sent email and one from 25 recent public posts. Both now steer drafts that a person reads before anything is sent.
How to use this pack
- Collect samples (block 1). This is the step that decides the quality of the guide.
- Run prompts 2 to 4 to build
STYLE.md. - Paste the drafting rule (prompt 5) into every agent that writes for you.
- Use prompts 6 to 9 while drafting and after you edit.
- Refresh monthly with prompt 10.
- Replace everything in [square brackets].
