by PaperChaseWebb
From All-In Price Desk: the ways small price pages slip, ten rules to paste into your agent, and a read-only script that runs ten checks on one menu, listing or checkout page, from "plus fees" and a fee with no amount or purpose to your fee called a tax, "no hidden fees" next to a fee, a pre-selected tip and a compliance claim.

What you end up with
You can see whether a price page names every fee with its amount and purpose and what it leaves vague, before an agent publishes it or a customer reaches checkout.
What you get
- Why price pages need checking
- Ten rules for agents that write or tidy price pages
- price_mini.py: ten read-only checks for one page
- A made-up restaurant catering page with four findings to try it on
Who it is for
Anyone who wants a quick check on what a price page actually tells a customer about fees.
Works with
Solid chips: the agent is named in this listing's own tools list. Dashed chip: Plain Markdown, so it also pastes into other agents such as Grok Bot, Hermes, OpenClaw or Muse. We list those as compatible by format only, not as tested.
Tools needed
Cost to run: Free.
Time to result: About five minutes to a first scan
Sample prompts, free to use
Run python3 price_mini.py on my price page in [file]. List every finding and tell me which line to change. Do not publish anything.
The rules and script are in the file.

# All-In Price Desk: all-in price rules and a ten-check price page scan (free sample) Version 1.0, 2026-11-01. By PaperChaseWebb. For any restaurant, rental, small hotel, event seller or service shop that shows prices online, or lets an AI agent write its price pages. One page and one Python 3 script, standard library only, read-only: it reads one page, prints findings and changes nothing. It sends nothing and opens no network connection. No API key, no login. Tested on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8: 4 unit tests, and 42 of 42 planted faults caught. The example business is made up. Not legal advice. ## Why price pages need checking The FTC fee rule asks lodging and ticket sellers to show the total price, every mandatory fee included, first. A growing list of states ask the same of most sellers, and some let a restaurant state a fee apart only with its amount and what it pays for. A clear price also means fewer surprised customers at checkout and fewer "what is this fee?" messages. Most small price pages slip in the same few ways: - "Prices plus fees" or "fees may apply". - "A service fee is added" with no amount. - A fee with no word on what it pays for. - "Taxes and fees" lumped together, or the owner's own fee called a city fee. - "No hidden fees" right next to a fee. - "Starting at $9" when nobody can pay $9. - A tip or extra that is pre-selected. - "Our menu is fully compliant." ## Rules to paste into AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, a Grok Bot standing order
Test record
- Date
- Nov 1, 2026
- What was run
- tests/test_mini.py (4), 42 planted faults against price_mini.py, and the copy extracted from the sample page. Linux, Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8.
- Result
- 4 passed, 0 failed on all five versions; 42 of 42 faults caught; the extracted copy was identical to the tested script and found 4 problems on the example page.
- Not run
- Your settings and rules table, the full page checks, the order record check, the reply review, the fix check and the eval set (the full kit does those).
Copied from this item's dated test notes. What was not run stays in.
Worth knowing
- The sample checks one page on its own. Your settings and rules table, the order record and reply checks, the fix check against the original, the eval set, owner approval and agent setups are in the full kit.
- Not legal advice. It does not say a page meets any law.
- On 2026-11-01 price_mini.py passed 4 unit tests and 42 of 42 planted faults on Linux with Python 3.13, 3.12, 3.11, 3.9 and 3.8, and the copy extracted from the sample page was identical to the tested script.
Questions
Does it change my files or post anything?
No. It reads the file you name and prints findings. It opens no network connection, publishes nothing and changes nothing.
What is in the full kit?
19 checks on each page against your own prices and a dated rules table, 8 on order records, 13 on replies about fees, a 12-check fix check against the original, owner approval at a terminal, an eval set, and setup for Grok Bot, Claude Code, Codex and Hermes. $29.

All-In Price Desk: agent fixes for your menus, price pages and checkout, fees in the first price, owner approved
Let an agent tidy your menus, rate cards, listings and checkout pages, check order records and review draft answers to "what is this fee?", without inventing a price, a discount or a fee, calling your fee a tax or promising a refund. It writes fixed copies and never publishes, refunds, charges or replies. A fix check refuses a removed price line, a deleted fee purpose, a new offer or a new phone number. You approve at your terminal and publish it yourself.
