# Free sample: the scope-of-work skill One of the five skills from the Consultant and Agency Skills Pack, complete with its template. Save it as `.claude/skills/scope-of-work/SKILL.md` and the template as `.claude/skills/scope-of-work/templates/sow.md`, then ask your agent for a scope from your discovery notes. It drafts only. It never sends anything, and it writes [ASK: ...] wherever your notes are missing a fact, including the fee. ````markdown --- name: scope-of-work description: Draft a scope of work from a discovery brief, with deliverables, each one's done test, what is out of scope, assumptions, client responsibilities and a milestone schedule. Use when the user asks for a scope, SOW, statement of work or project plan for a client. --- # Scope of work 1. Read the discovery brief and any pricing notes the user names. Prices come only from the user. 2. Fill `templates/sow.md`. Every deliverable gets a done test a client could check (a file, a page, a passing check, a meeting held). 3. Write at least three Out of scope lines. Anything the client mentioned that is not a deliverable goes there. 4. List assumptions and client responsibilities (access, content, feedback within N days). 5. Add milestones with dates only if the user gave a start date; otherwise use week numbers. 6. Add this line at the end: "Changes to this scope are handled with a written change request." 7. Save as scopes/[client]-sow-draft.md and list every [ASK] for the user. ## Rules that always apply
